The Position
We are currently recruiting for an experienced/ senior Business Development Executive to join our team at Gibson Hall, this is a stunning converted banking hall located in the heart of the City of London this is the perfect venue for a number of events and functions to include conferences, weddings, product launches, awards dinners, Christmas parties, barbeques and summer parties.
As an experienced BDE you will apply your proactive sales experience to build new client relationships and develop existing ones in order to achieve targeted levels of sales for the venue. You will ensure that all enquiries are effectively handled in order to maximize conversion and sales opportunities. Other duties include;
?To have a strategic overview of the venue sales, yield manage the venue sales and identify opportunities for growth
?By overseeing another member of the sales team, you will oversee the reactive sales for the venue, ensuring that all enquiries are handled efficiently and effectively converted
?Undertake local research to identify new business contacts via cold calling, existing client databases and marketing
?You will proactively work to convert all new business contacts into confirmed sales for the venue
?To carry out client show rounds of the premises selling all facilities at the venue
?To create proposals for clients suited to their enquiry and to follow these up with the clients
The Person
- You will have a good understanding of the event and sales industry.
- Must be passionate about venue sales
- Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- It is essential that you?have previous proactive venue sales management experience, ideally within the venue industry however hotel industry experience will be considered
- This position would suit someone who is a natural leader with relevant experience and a passion for venue sales
